The awards committee sought excellence in the conference theme of "synergies of disciplines", for Technology Enhanced Learning, this year.
The team of Martin Wolpers, Martin Memmel, and Alberto Giretti were presented with an EA-TEL award for their paper on 'Metadata in architecture education - first evaluation results of the MACE system' for their synergy of disciplines. This top quality work was also selected by the STELLAR Network of Excellence to be awarded an invitation to the STELLAR Alpine Rendez Vous event later this year.
The team of Stefanie Lindstaedt, Günter Beham, Barbara Kump, and Tobias Ley were additionally recognized for their 'synergy of disciplines' paper 'Getting to Know Your User - Unobtrusive User Model Maintenance within Work-Integrated Learning Environments'.
The award for scientific excellence was presented to the team of Hamed Alavi, Frederic Kaplan, and Pierre Dillenbourg for their work on 'Distributed Awareness for Class Orchestration'.
Award winners, Stefanie Lindstaedt and Martin Wolpers were also invited to join the final plenary session with conference luminaries: Marcus Specht, Ulrike Cress, Vania Dimitrova, Peter Brusilovski and Friedrich Hesse.
